Flower Beat began as a challenge to myself to make a track that was pure percussion, unlike most of my tunes which rely heavily on harmony and melody. I'm happy that some folks have taken a liking to it, and that two good friends of mine were happy to remix it. Mooves mangled and repurposed the original sounds into something sparse and tense, and Truekey flipped the track entirely on its head by (funnily enough) giving it a strong sense of harmony and melody, even adding his own vocals. To complete the release, I pulled an older, similarly percussion-focused WIP from the archives and fleshed it out into "Tricks," a dark track that's also unlike many other tunes I've made.
